I’m Miss Sjaan RAD RTS and I am so very proud of The Sjaan Dance Academy. We have a dance school in the heart of Hailsham, East Sussex and run classes for children and adults. I started the school in 2016 with only a handful of students we now have over 200 students, children and adults.

I have been dancing since I was two. My main love and passion is ballet but I am trained and experienced in many other dance forms including Tap, Modern, Jazz, National Greek, and Freestyle.

My vocational Ballet training has been with the Royal Academy of Dance and I am a fully qualified RAD teacher and I was also a student at the Royal Ballet School. I also have certificates with Balletbefit, Progressing Ballet Technique, Independent Dance Training, ISTD and the Associated Board of Dance.

I have lived and breathed ballet since a child and I also worked at The Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden.

I started The Sjaan Dance Academy for children so they could feel the benefits of dancing. Although graded examinations can be an exciting and rewarding thing for children to do - the main objective is for my students to feel the wonder of dance, express themselves and be creative in a safe and nurturing environment.

I also love teaching my adults students, we have a great mix of experienced dancers, adults that danced as children and complete beginners! It is so wonderful watching them grow in confidence, keep fit and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of dance.

My motto is.... Whenever you feel happy. . Dance. . . When you feel sad . . . Dance. . .Dancing will help you find joy.
